Having attended Nancy’s spin classes over the past year or two, my fitness improved markedly yet without much effect on my weight. However, after a few months of dietary advice, calorie control, exercise guidance and most importantly her enthusiastic support (with only a small amount of cajoling) Nancy has managed to help me shed >16 Kg! Not bad for an old geezer with absolutely no willpower. Nancy made the sun shine on Mondays with her Shabam classes. She made keeping fit fun. With my son’s wedding looming I wanted to be in the best shape. I didn’t consider myself fat but wanted to tone and lose fat. I felt very comfortable with Nancy so asked her about doing some personal fitness with her. She devised an achievable plan for me, guided me on food calories and even gave me some recipes. She stressed that having some of the things I enjoy (e.g. chocolate!) was ok so long as I kept to my calories target. Our personal training sessions were enjoyable and importantly she showed me how to do exercises correctly. She regularly messaged me to see how I was getting on and if I needed any help. She was always there for me and picked me up when I was struggling or had a down day. We did it slowly which meant I have been able to maintain my new shape. In the end I lost nearly 10kg of fat and I feel great! Nancy is knowledgeable, professional and inspirational and a truly lovely person. I would thoroughly recommend her as a personal trainer.

I started to see Nancy at the beginning of 2020. My aim, like so many others, was to loose weight and in particular reduce my fat percentage. The difference with Nancy is that she is always there, even throughout lockdown to help and encourage you and convince you that it is completely possible so that you never feel overwhelmed. Even at times when I fell off the wagon there was no guilt shaming just sensible advice to continue and look at the long term sustainable changes rather than short term wins.

I was recommended to Nancy as at 59 I wasn’t happy with the way I was gaining weight and feeling flabby. I wouldn’t have classed myself as overweight but I knew I had to do something. I was like many under the assumption that as long as I exercised frequently I would be OK. She has completely transformed my body, it hasn’t been this in shape since my 20’s. No food was out of bounds as long it was within my daily calorie allowance. In pre lockdown days I often sent her a restaurant menu to get the amount of calories so I knew what allowances to make. Due to distance, we did everything online, and it was fantastic. Being honest, I didn’t really think it would work very well – no matter how determined I was. I first met Nancy around 8 years ago at my local gym where she was the instructor for the body attack, body pump and shabam classses I attended. Hers were the only classes I regularly attended as she made them so fun and relaxed! In September 2020, when the gym was shut due to Covid, I signed up to a 3 month fitness & diet programme with Nancy where my aim was to lose around 5kg of weight and tone up. I was amazed with the results (I lost over a stone and am in the best shape of my life) and put it all down to Nancy. She is such an inspiration. Her positive attitude, brilliant guidance and excellent recommendations hugely helped me and motivated me to achieve my goals. Nancy fully supported me throughout, checking in regularly and was always available to help with any issue I had. I started working with Nancy in the summer with my mum and sister to get us out of our lockdown slump and in a better mindset to go back to work and university. Right from the off, Nancy was friendly and attentive, formulating personal plans for us- including recipe ideas and at home no-equipment workouts. Our weekly training sessions were tough but really enjoyable (even the planks ) and week on week we got fitter (thanks to Nancy sneakily increasing our rep time!) Even when my mum and I had a few days away, Nancy was on the other end of the phone helping us pick healthy meals and months on she still checks in weekly and offers her support. After just 4 weeks with Nancy, I was amazed to see I’d lost 3.2 kg of body fat and 10.5 cm off my stomach! And even better, I’ve managed to keep it off even in the 3rd lockdown! I met Nancy over 3 years ago when I attended my first ever Body Pump class in my local gym. Since then I have been a regular at her BodyStep, BodyPump and BodyAttack classes, which are far from easy or boring!
I decided to ask Nancy for help with getting back to shape after giving birth to my son last autumn. In the past I managed to keep my weight under control by exercising multiple times in a week. This time round, the obvious lack of time prevented me from attending gym or even exercising at home. I decided that I need assistance in having more structured “back to pre-pregnancy fitness levels” so I opted for online PT due to childcare obligations and flexibility of the programme. I loved the structured approach to setting goals and weekly schedule that we followed for over 5 months of our cooperation. Nancy provided me with the exercise and stretch routine, which I could do at a suitable time. What is more important is that she convinced me to track my daily food intake, which I have to say was a challenge due to the lack of time that I was facing. We agreed a calorie limit that I had to stick to and again, I have to say it was not easy, especially during Christmas, holidays, family visits or days when my son was sick or was teething!
In the end we nearly got to where I wanted to be, but the weight loss was not the biggest achievement. I understood that you simply cannot out-exercise your diet, daily tracking taught me that I do eat heathy and balanced meals, but my snacks and desserts were out of control. It was incredible to see how many calories small items of food can add, and how the whole day’s outlook can change because if it. Nancy was always there for me if I needed a quick estimate of a restaurant meal or if I wanted some advice on food choice. She always had an answer ready for my “Why..” or “What if…” – her answers were always backed up by research and science which for person like me is very important. I could not fault Nancy for her commitment and motivation, at times I felt that she was carrying me on her back just pushing me through the difficult days. She is an incredible source of energy and motivation, and I really don’t know where she is getting it from. I would 100% recommend Nancy not only to people who feel like they need to lose a stone or two, but for those who were relatively fit like me but could not shed off the last few kgs.

I have known Nancy for some years after a friend suggested I come along to one of her classes at the gym where I was a member. She was so kind that first class and genuinely interested in getting the best out of her clients.
In November 2019 I decided to start with Nancy and her online PT course. I had become poorly a couple of years before and had put on some weight that I wanted to shift but to make things more of a challenge I have Vestibular Neuronitis (a chronic condition that can impact on exercise), hypermobility and lipoedema (painful build-up of fat and swelling, usually in the legs). None of these issues phased Nancy and she assured me that she could help me.
The program is very straight forward – keep motivated, keep positive, receive encouragement and advice from Nancy, and most importantly record your daily intake of calories. Nancy was a text away for me through every step of my journey. She was able to guide me with my eating habits and keep me motivated when I was feeling low. I honestly could not believe how much weight I lost in the 6 months I was doing the program but more importantly the centimetres I lost from all parts of my body. My lipoedema is a huge issue for me at the moment and for me to have lost 13 centimetres off my thighs was just amazing. Nancy has helped me so much and I believe her kindness, understanding, and attitude make her a brilliant person to have in your corner.

My sister and I completed 5 months’ PT with Nancy in February – my aim was to lose a bit of weight and tone up a bit, losing the flabby bits that had accumulated around my body having had 2 children. By the end of the 5 months, I was leaner and felt great, thanks to the sensible and achievable goals, food advice and gentle nudges about making good choices and bucket loads of Nancy’s positivity and encouragement. Nancy has made me look at what I eat (and how much) and helped me to become more knowledgeable about where my excess calories come from. I’ve developed a whole new repertoire of meals that are lower calorie, but I’m also more aware of what choices to make when eating out to stay on track.
Nancy is always encouraging and is motivating without making you feel bad if you decide to have the fish and chip dinner or a night out with friends with a few cocktails. Thinking about average calorie intake over the week helps me to make better choices and hopefully to keep the weight off long-term.
Her workouts have been easy to follow and fun and, even in lockdown, I have been motivated to find the time to keep doing them twice per week. She is a positive voice in my head to keep up the good work!

She will even be able to make you smile as she makes you do tricep press-ups (and I don’t think I ever really imagined myself being the sort of person who would voluntarily do press-ups on a regular basis!)

Nancy’s energy, passion (and permanent happy smile!) is infectious and it’s hard not to love working out with her. Nancy’s classes have always been an element of my week that I’ve looked forwards to and a non-negotiable (even after a sometimes 1hr45 commute to get to the gym after work!!)

My sister and I initially met Nancy through group classes at the gym. Nancy quickly became our go-to instructor; her positivity and energy made exercise feel like fun and Nancy’s classes made it easy to stick to an exercise routine (God forbid if Alice or I missed a Monday night body pump!). At the time we had both stepped up our exercise routines but wanted to focus more on fat loss and ensuring that our technique was correct. Neither of us had worked with a PT before and Nancy was the natural choice!
Nancy brought all of that positivity and energy (and more!) into our PT sessions from the get go. The sessions were very varied, well planned and challenging whilst being fun at the same time. Nancy tailored the sessions to ensure we were both working towards our individual goals and at our fitness levels and provided workout plans and recipes to keep us on track in between sessions. She would regularly check in with us to see how we we’re getting on – Something I massively appreciated as it felt I had someone to be accountable to!
Nancy helped shift my mindset around my food intake. Before working with Nancy I think I naively assumed I could get away with eating whatever I liked as long as I was exercising regularly. I weighed myself occasionally, but had never really considered other factors, such as body fat %. Nancy’s no nonsense and simple approach helped me realise that you cannot out-exercise a bad diet. I now make healthier choices with my food and keep an eye on my body fat, visceral fat and other factors instead of only relying on the number on the scales.
If you’re still a bit unsure about investing in a PT, then I would say go for it – You won’t regret it. Just make sure the PT is Nancy! Her enthusiasm and passion for fitness will rub off on you within minutes of meeting her and I guarantee you will look forward to your sessions with her (Even if she does make you do some really hard stuff!)

I decided to set myself a ‘Fit for 40’ challenge and wanted to reach my big birthday in the best shape I could be. As a busy working mum with two young boys, I knew that in order to reach my goals, I would need someone to keep me accountable and on track, and I could not think of anyone better than Nancy with her online programme. I have attended Nancy’s classes at my local gym and also seen and read about her results ‘in action’ from friends in the local community, so I had no doubt that her enthusiasm, energy and persistence would be the combination I needed to keep me on track.
Despite doing lots of running (training for a half marathon, another thing on the ‘fit for 40’ bucket list) and regularly going to the gym and bootcamps, my weight was slowly creeping up and I needed to make some changes to get it back to where I wanted it to be.
Working with Nancy was great and she ensured her suggestions could realistically fit into my busy lifestyle. I am lucky in that I enjoy working out and use exercise as stress release, so for me it was more about making sure I was eating the right things than needing to come up with an exercise plan. Despite my reservations, Nancy convinced me to track my calories and showed me ways to use the tools so that it was not too time consuming. She also helped me find low calories snacks and alternatives and be aware of things like portion size to help lose some cms and get back to where I wanted to be.
Working with Nancy was great fun and she is truly supportive and always has a helpful suggestion. She is doesn’t judge but always looks for ways to support her clients with whatever they are trying to juggle (or get away with) alongside their objectives. She is always on hand for help and advice, and her regular check ins help to achieve results and ensure accountability. I would recommend Nancy for anyone looking to get healthier, fitter, stronger or leaner, or just anyone who needs some support to help them stick to their goals.
