I have known Nancy for a very very long time. We used to go to the same classes at our gym before Nancy became an amazing Fitness Instructor. She is full of energy and ready to help anyone who asks for it. I used to do lots of classes and sometimes 3 in a row thinking this was the way to loose weight and shed the fat! After years of trying different exercises and gym workouts, I spoke to Nancy about her online PT sessions and that my aim was to change my body shape and loose body fat.

Nancy sent me various options that I could consider. I decided to opt for the 3 months online PT sessions. There was one thing that Nancy insisted I would have to do in order to get the results I was hoping for and that was to log my food and drink onto the My fitness Plan app. I was a bit worried about this as I am not that technical but Nancy assured me that I would be fine and that she would help me get started and answer any questions I had along the way. She told me that the only thing I needed to do was count calories!! This would enable me to loose body fat and weight.

On my first PT session, I was weighed and various measurements were taken and also body fat percentage worked out! But on top of that Nancy took a photo of how I looked at the start so that we could compare the results after 3 months! I was really quite shocked at how I actually looked as I did not think that I was carrying as much fat as I was!

I am only 4ft 10 inches and did not like my sticky out bum and big thighs!!  I was excited about doing this programme but did find it a bit of a struggle logging the food in, writing up the recipes etc but in time it got easier and I quickly learned how much calories things actually were! I also tried to limit my alcohol intake to 2 nights a week as recommended by Nancy as I knew that I could not give it up altogether! I tried to switch from wine to gin and low calorie tonic water wherever possible but sometimes you do need a glass of wine!!

Nancy set my daily calorie at 1400.  She also asked me to try and get my steps to at least 9000 daily which sometimes was a struggle as I work in an office. In order to try and get the steps up, I bought a skipping rope to help get my steps up!

After the first month of online sessions and advice from Nancy, she did all my measurements and body fat percentage and I had lost cm and body fat.

I had a Wedding to attend and Christmas was also around the corner whilst I was training which which made it hard for me to log in food etc so Nancy just asked me to be mindful of what I was eating and drinking which I did and I still managed to loose weight and body fat.

The time came for my final results and I was absolutely shocked to learn that I had lost 8 kg of weight and 8.2 kg of body fat which was 10.8%. I had lost cm off various places and by bum did not stick out any more. My thighs were also thinner and I felt really good.

I would just like to thank Nancy from the bottom of my heart for what she has helped me to achieve!!

We are both members of Nuffield in Leatherhead and he had started going to her spin classes there and absolutely loved them – loved her enthusiasm and energy – and persuaded me to go even though I really don’t enjoy spinning!  He was so right – from the minute I met Nancy I loved her and she made me feel so welcome – her enthusiasm is infectious!

And it was my husband who had seen the transformations and testimonials that Nancy was positing on her social media and suggested I take a look.  He knew that I was just a bit fed up with my weight – I wasn’t huge, but at 47 I was the heaviest I’d ever been and whilst I didn’t look overweight it was bothering me that even though I thought I ate relatively healthily and exercised regularly I just couldn’t shift the weight.  I joined up with Nancy for 3 months on her online course and had a couple of PT sessions with her to check in face to face and mix up the training a little, have a chat!!

Nancy’s approach is very simple and that was exactly what I needed.  I have a very busy job, and sometimes feel pulled in many directions and I couldn’t cope with a plan that was too fussy or complicated.  I hate logging my calories – I find it time consuming and boring – but as Nancy says, you can’t out train a bad diet and that’s where my focus needed to be.  That and just making sure that I was relatively active.  My problem has always been lack of consistency and Nancy’s approach just gave me the right amount of focus that I needed.  The most important thing for me I think was the focus on sticking to 1600 calories a day – logging the food made me think twice about the few squares of chocolate at the end of the day or the couple of biscuits here and there and look at more healthy options and meal choices.  And being accountable to Nancy and knowing that I had her support and advice whenever I needed it kept me focused.   She is a very good cheerleader – always positive – even when you think you’ve had a bad day she will always look on the bright side and make you feel good about yourself.

I went on holiday and lost weight;  I had weeks where I didn’t exercise as much as I should and lost weight – because Nancy kept my focus on the calories in.  She doesn’t stress about macros, or types of calories, she just keeps it simple and by doing that you come round to the healthier choices in your own time that fit your lifestyle because you see that it works because of the results that you get with Nancy’s support.  With her help I lost 9.9kg of fat in 3 months.  And I feel so much healthier and happier in myself.  The loss in inches and weight was great but what has also been awesome is that I have maintained that myself since finishing the 3 months with Nancy.   She continues to check in on me, still supports me, and whilst I haven’t counted the calories as much as I should have done, I know now how best to eat for myself and I haven’t put the weight back on.

6 months later, and now in lockdown, I’m going back to having the online support because now more than ever I need the focus and support from Nancy.  I’m working at home full time now and in these difficult times I need some accountability again.  I’d like to focus on toning up a bit better and getting my strength up now that I’ve lost the weight so I’m back on the online course with Nancy and looking forward to some more amazing results in 3 months’ time :o)

I have been a member of the Pavilion for about 4 years and before that other local gyms. However despite exercising approximately 4 times a week nothing really changed. Yes I was getting older and being a lady of a certain age my body was changing but not in the very flattering way so I really needed to do something and quick.

I also had the very big incentive of a wedding dress to get into so as a regular participant of Nancy’s classes at the Pavilion it was obvious who I should speak to!

Working full time and leading a busy life I chose to do on-line training with Nancy. She was a tremendous help and was always there to encourage me and also to drag me back on track. She showed me how to do the Fitness Pal and how to log my meals. She gave me some workouts to do at home if I had time or if I fancied changing things up a bit.

Nancy is a bundle of energy and positivity and always there with a cheery smile or a frown if I had a naughty weekend (which I did more than I should l have). However, she always said one bad day doesn’t have to mean a bad week – something I have learnt.
We had a weekly weigh in and measuring. I was really surprised at the inch loss something I had never checked before so this was a great incentive to see the numbers drop.

She messaged me often always checking I was doing ok. She also has an amazing knack of guessing the calories of food if you send her a picture of your dinner.

If I could, I would continue to see her but finances don’t allow that but she still is there with a cheery message even though we have stopped now.

I actually enjoyed my time with Nancy and when monies allow I would certainly do it all again to keep me on the straight and narrow.

Nancy is an awesome PT. She wasn’t my first PT and although I learnt a lot with others, Nancy was the one who helped be to separate food and exercise. I now exercise for health and well-being, not for weight loss. Nancy is great at giving gentle reminders to keep on track. I would receive a text a few times a week where Nancy would check in on how’s things are going and if I needed any assistance. Help was always on hand, whenever needed, Nancy is only ever a text away and she can look a photo of food and gauge the calories! I was and still am terrible at logging, but I am very much more aware now of the calories within foods.

It has taken me a long time to write this testimonial as it is difficult to put into words quite how amazing Nancy is!

In the past I would always have said, ‘I don’t need a Personal Trainer – I know what to do – go on a strict diet and do some exercise!’ And at various points in my life I have done just that – usually adopting the latest ‘in’ diet with some short term positive results but I have always found it difficult to sustain long term and inevitably the weight has crept back on.

So at the beginning of 2019, after a very difficult year with lots of comfort eating, I found myself the heaviest and most unfit I have ever been and, after seeing a particularly unflattering holiday picture, I was determined to take some control back in my life and my journey with Nancy began.

Going to my first Personal Training session I was unsure if it would be for me but Nancy quickly put me at ease and in a very gentle and non judgemental way, assessed my current state(!) and we agreed my goals and long term targets. I love data and statistics and her recommendation to use MyFitnessPal to track my food intake and calories was perfect for me. I have used it every day since.

Nancy makes every Personal Training session different which keeps you on your toes as you never know what you’ll be doing each time or how hard it will be!

Being a reluctant gym or class attender, Nancy creates home workouts for me to do between personal training sessions and she regularly checks in to see how things are going.

Nancy is always available for some wise advice or a quick calorie estimate for a meal out (although her estimates are always much higher than I am hoping for) and she has the ability to guilt you out in such a subtle way! She is also great at sending me links to relevant articles or ideas as she knows I am a social media dinosaur!

Over the course of a six month period I achieved my weight loss and percentage body fat targets and I am so pleased with the results. I entered my 50th year the slimmest and fittest I have ever been and with a much happier and healthier mental outlook.

With Nancy’s help and considerable expertise, I have totally changed the way I think about food and exercise and her ongoing encouragement motivates me, even now, a good nine months after achieving my goals, to continue to keep on a healthy path. Thank you Nancy. You are an inspiration!

I’m a mid forties guy, who has the usual challenges we all do around working too many hours, liking the odd drink a little too much and occasionally eating the wrong things (usually one leads to another..)

I met Nancy through her spin class, and actually over the past few years as I’d stopped playing the sports which I had done through my twenties and thirties because of joint pain, I’d actually made an effort to try to work out quite a lot – spin, pump, etc, most weeks.

I had really enjoyed the care and structure Nancy applied to her classes, and as I got to know her I was blown away by her infectious positivity, energy and intellect which she poured in to her classes and clients every single session, even when faced with some tough challenges.

So when a change of circumstances meant I had a little time to reflect on where I am in my life, I decided that I didn’t want to be a mid forties fatty, and I decided to bite the bullet and commit to a 10 week program with Nancy.
As I mentioned earlier, I was working out maybe 6 times a week, so I knew I was reasonably fit, but that doesn’t mean I was healthy… I knew my BP was a little high, and although I was a regular in some group classes, I was rarely a top performer and could see I was struggling to keep up with others – and all I would do is try to work out harder or more frequently. This basically had the affect that I was almost constantly physically tired.

Through our initial consultations and 121 workout sessions, Nancy immediately focused on this and we agreed a plan that was slightly alien to me… I was actually going to stop doing some of the classes I had religiously been forcing myself to attend, I was going to focus more on what I was putting in to my body (and we would work on that together to come up with weekly plans) and I was going to increase the variation I got through my workouts and focus a little more on my building strength – something I had always dismissed as I had wanted to “burn fat” through cardio.

The focus and help Nancy gave me on the food and drinks I was consuming was nothing short of life changing. I’m certainly no angel when it comes to food, and I’m still no angel after having worked with Nancy. I love meat, I love beer, and I was very surprised when we first put my weekly plans together and I had not been convinced to go veggie or teetotal…(which social media seemed to be telling me was the only was to get healthy). Nancy worked with me to keep my favourite things in my weekly plans, and even gave me some amazing advice on different types of treats and snacks I could enjoy, but our plan meant I could do all this whilst still maintaining an acceptable calorie input. This helped me to be 100% honest with myself and the plan, and the results (week 1 was quite a surprise…!).

Over time, I got to really understand the impact of what I was putting in to my body. Yes I was still eating the “wrong” stuff every now and then, but I got to know when I was being bad, and to what degree. This meant I could adjust my week and always work towards my goals. It was like someone had just shown me my bank balance and how much I was spending for the very first time.

The strengthening exercises made my cardio actually seem easier, which in turn meant I could do more, and then got fitter still. And the variation meant I wasn’t working the same muscle areas over and over and gave my body the opportunity to recover, meaning I had more energy. I lost nearly a stone and half in just 10 weeks, whilst maintaining or in some areas gaining muscle and strength, meaning I lost body fat… over 9% of it in fact. I was leaner, and workouts felt less strenuous on my joints. My blood pressure also fell to normal levels and my resting heart rate settled a whopping 20 beats per minute lower than when I started the program.

I’m writing this now 3 months after my time working with Nancy, and although my weight and other metrics have definitely had their ups and downs, I’m pleased to say that today I’m exactly the same weight and body fat as the day of my last weigh and measure on my program, I’m lifting the same weights and working out at the same rate.

I feel confident that this is my new base line and I have the knowledge and tools to now maintain this for as long as I want, without it feeling like a “diet” or a phase towards some goal I’ve given myself.

In fact, now this is my new baseline I’m starting to get curious about where I can go from here… and I suspect this year I will very likely be back to being a client of Nancy’s to give her a new challenge of where we can get me too!

A friend of mine had recommended Nancy after getting in shape herself and I was totally inspired by her story. In early 2019 I joined the Xcel Leisure centre and started to do some of their exercise classes. In May 2019 i attended Nancy’s Body Pump class on a Saturday morning, Nancy approached me before the class begun and made me feel welcome. Body pump on a Saturday morning was the first class i actually enjoyed attending and this is down to Nancy being so welcoming and enthusiastic. The class is always fun and Nancy always brings her personality to the session. i wish Nancy ran more sessions at Xcel!

In July I contacted Nancy directly about personal training. I opted for Nancy’s blended personal training approach which is 3 months online and face to face sessions. My goal was to lose weight/body fat and become physically fitter. I had tried a couple of different diets but was not seeing results. Nancy created a calorie goal that could work for me and we got started in August. Nancy was always available to help whether it be Calorie estimates, looking at menus and recommending the best options or just being there for me when I had a low day/week. Nancy’s face to face sessions were also great, they felt tailored to my abilities and were not about beasting me. We would do measurements, talk about any difficulties as well as check physical strength progress. There were clear improvements in the weight i could train with in each session as well as how many sit ups or push ups i could do. My 3 month final result highlights were: -9.2% Body Fat, -7cm from chest and belly, -3cm each thigh and bicep, -4.3kg in weight.

Training with Nancy also gave me the confidence to start running and i joined a running club to add to my weekly exercise routine. Initially I could not run for 2 minutes and then achieved a 40 minute 5km run on my first Park Run after a 10 week training program.

I never thought that i would be one of those people who enjoyed exercise and if I hadn’t have met Nancy I don’t think this would have happened.

I first met Nancy when she became the class instructor for a BodyPump class that I regularly attend, back in late 2014. Her enthusiasm, energy and quick wit made the class fun, so I added one of her spin classes to my weekly schedule.

In the summer of 2015, I took the opportunity of a three session trial of personal training sessions with Nancy. I’d read an article Nancy had posted on Facebook about her journey from fat to fit, which resonated with me so I decided to try PT with her. I’d been trying to lose weight for years, and even more intently following my retirement. I always preferred being in the back of classes, in my tracksuit bottoms and loose fitting tee shirts. I had lost some weight, but not much and I didn’t push myself to my limits in classes, for risk of not being able to complete the exercise, of failing.

I was nervous going to my first session, but Nancy soon put me at ease, even through the process of weighing and measuring me. I shed 18kg of body fat within a matter of months, through Nancy’s guidance and encouragement. Personal sessions with Nancy are fun, as are all her group classes. She has a wicked, quick wit. Under Nancy’s guidance, I have been able to maintain my target weight, even if occasionally it has risen after a holiday or time away from my normal class schedule. She has encouraged me to be stronger and fitter.

Nancy is an intelligent lady, whose academic background serves her well with personal training. I like the data and science on occasion, so Nancy’s ability to provide me with the more scientific approach, is ideal. She understands what makes me tick, so she knows when to put the proverbial ‘arm around the shoulder’ or the ‘kick up the rear’. In 2015, she gently and persistently persuaded me to weigh and record what I was eating and drinking, despite my three months of resistance. How can you create a calorie deficit, without knowing how many calories you are consuming? It is basic, but I took my time to accept the life change. I now weigh and record my food and drink, as a matter of routine. I expect I shall be doing so until I’m put in to a home and can not! Nancy has helped me make life style changes, rather than to consider I am on a diet. She provides personal nutritional advice, and her weekly tips on social media serve to keep me focused and to keep on track. Sometimes they are simply messages which inspire her readers to be better people. I can’t think of any other trainer that would be posting such messages before dawn on New Year’s Day.

I enjoy the one to one sessions, with the variety of different exercises and being pushed to do weights and repetitions that I would not normally do myself. Nancy is good at ensuring my technique is correct, so that I get the most from each exercise and do not risk injury. She has the ability to notice small things, even in full classes. It must be from the years of observing monkeys! I would never have believed the three initial sessions would have led me to four years and more under Nancy’s guidance and supervision. She has been and continues to be an inspiration to me on many levels. She is very positive, enthusiastic and her classes remain fun and a must for my weekly schedule. My journey from fat to fitness would never have happened without Nancy. She has been an excellent Personal Trainer for me. I simply can not recommend her highly enough. She is brilliant.

A number of people at the Nuffield Leatherhead gym had told me about Nancy`s classes and how good they were so I tried them myself and that is how I first got to know her. I then started reading her blog and was very impressed with her scientific and factual approach to weight and fat loss and in particular how she had achieved a huge change in her own life by following these principles. Whilst I had a healthy BMI ( just about) I knew I was carrying more fat around my middle than I should. And I also knew that I was eating too much although I managed to justify it to myself on the grounds that I was eating “ healthy” food.

I decided to download My Fitness Pal and set myself a calorie target, more out of curiosity than anything else, and realised after a couple of weeks that I had lost about 1kg. I then decided to enlist Nancy`s help online. It didn`t take me too long to work out that I was eating more than I needed to and that I was making meals into major events, carrying on eating even when I wasn`t hungry. I found it very important to work out “ how” I was eating too much and “why” I was doing it. The discipline of having to send Nancy my weight and measurements every week was very helpful as I knew I couldn`t cheat. Over a 20 week period, I lost about 8 kg and about 6% of bodyfat.

Nancy is incredibly supportive and motivating. She makes it abundantly clear that when it comes to weight and fat loss, food is fuel and calories are calories – there is no need for fad diets or omission of food groups. Nancy also encourages you to think about making changes to your food intake that are sustainable in the long term – she doesn`t expect you to cut out things that you really enjoy but instead makes you view them as part of your overall calorie intake.

Nancy was always available to answer questions and comment on any particular issue I had. Most importantly, her approach has instilled in me a different approach to food and as a result I have not lapsed into bad habits!

I would wholeheartedly recommend Nancy. I couldn`t have done it without her.

I first met Nancy 5 years ago when I joined the Pavilion Club. I started to do Nancy’s classes and just couldn’t believe how much fun it was! Nancy was so friendly, welcoming, enthusiastic, supportive and reassuring that before long, I had increased the number of exercise classes I attended to around nine a week – including Body Step, Body Attack, Body Pump and Sh’bam.

Nancy is so inspiring that she was the natural person to turn to when I wanted a personal trainer to help me to lose some body fat and get stronger. Nancy is not a scary, shouty type of instructor and she will never recommend a faddy, trendy diet or detox. She takes the time to listen, really get to know you and find out what works for you. She is incredibly knowledgeable and explains the science behind weight loss. She had her work cut out educating me about calorie intake etc and even though I was not keen on using My Fitness Pal, Nancy was right – it’s all about calorie deficit! I love the fact that Nancy’s advice is factual, clear, realistic and ultimately sustainable.

I never thought I would actually look forward to personal training sessions and have so much fun while working out, but I do! So much so, that even though I have reached my goals, I still have PT with Nancy every week and really miss it if I can’t go.

Nancy is a truly inspirational and amazing person. I feel so lucky to have met her. I simply cannot recommend Nancy highly enough.

Approaching 50, I realised I really did need to do something about my weight, being the heaviest I’ve ever been. Although I went to the gym regularly, I wasn’t seeing any results, at all, but I still enjoyed going, especially Nancy’s classes. The first thing I noticed, apart from her absolute enthusiasm, was her capacity to remember every single person’s name in the class – if there’s a new face, she spots them immediately and introduces herself, quite a talent as she does so many classes! That really made my decision for me: if I was to go down the personal training route, I wanted Nancy to do it, which was, without doubt, the best decision I’ve ever made.

We started off with all the measuring and weighing, plus photos taken (quite traumatic when you’re not feeling your best!). As I work away quite a lot, she gave me workouts that I could do in my hotel if they didn’t have a gym. I also bought some resistant bands which don’t take much room in a suitcase. I bought some weights for home workouts when I couldn’t make it to the gym at home, and they’re actually being used rather than just gathering dust!

But the most important part of the whole three months for me was food. I’ve been on every diet there is out there but whatever came off soon went back on again. Counting the calories was a bit of a pain to start with, but it has completely changed my outlook on what I eat. Portion size? Never gave it a second thought. I hardly ever cooked for myself, once again blaming the fact I didn’t have time as I was always working away. Nancy changed all of that. She gave me so many tasty recipes to start me off with, and I now regularly Google for healthy recipes, something I never even thought of before. If I’m short on time, I know I can have healthy ready meals – M&S or Waitrose do some fantastic low-calorie meals, again something Nancy recommended.

After three months I lost a staggering 10.9 kg in body fat and 8.3 kg in weight and completely transformed my body shape. The before and after pictures were hilarious – I never realised I was THAT big! I know for sure that if I’d gone to any other trainer, I would not have achieved what I have done. Even though the three months is now up, she is still there for any advice I need or just for some gentle encouragement. Nancy is a natural “people person” with a fabulous sunny personality, and I just can’t thank her enough for what she’s done for me; she has literally changed my life!

Nancy is such a fun, positive and ispirational friend to know and work with. Shes the only person who could get me up at 8.15 on a Saturday to workout and keep me smiling the whole time! This and her knowledge of health and fitness makes her the ideal personal trainer in my opinion.

I had worked with Nancy before and seen great results so it made perfect sense for me to go back to her when I was struggling on my own to get back into my size 10s. Nancy gave me a great combination of exercise programs, health tips and ongoing support and encouragement to help me achieve my goal in time for my september holiday.

With her support I have managed to get back into my size 10s which I havnt fit in since I was 27 (im now 32) and im feeling so much more confident in my body. I would definitely recommend working with nancy, she helps you set realistic goals with a focus on health and body composition rather than purely weight giving you a holistic view of your health and fitness. She is a great person to work with and makes everything fun and enjoyable.

It was seeing the transformation of a friend which prompted me to give it Nancy’s PT programme a go.

Having had two kids, I have spent the last nine years yo-yo dieting, exercising furiously and going around in endless circles. When I signed up with Nancy I was doing 3-4 classes per week, and had a good level of fitness but was getting frustrated at never seeing any real changes to my body and had started to accept that’s just the way it is in your 40s with children!

I first met Nancy as a spin instructor at the gym. She was so motivational and always had a positive attitude in the class. When I was then looking for a personal trainer, Nancy was the first person I thought of helping me.

I have always been pretty good with my exercise but I really needed help with my diet, so I went to Nancy for help.

Like most working mothers, I found it can be really challenging trying to balance home life and work, especially when it’s your own business and honestly, I never really paid enough attention to my diet.
Nancy helped me to structure my diet and made me aware on how much I snacked during the day, she introduced me to the myfitnesspal App and made sure I used it daily which helped me to lose inches and some weight.

I met Nancy through a good friend of mine through the gym I was a member of at the time. Went to spin and step classes and tried a sh’bam class. Contacted this wonderful human being to continue my fitness journey.

Signed up to a block of 10 sessions which wasn’t a mistake, Nancy is one of the most supportive people I know and helped me with my diet and exersise routine outside of the sesssions.

She got me to try my fitness pal, which worked for a short while. I was able to shop better make better food choices and felt a whole lot better about myself in all aspects of life.

The sessions itself were great – each one different to keep the body motivated and alert. Nancy is on hand all the time which was great for me if I had any questions or just needed some guidance.

Having been to a couple of classes led by the hugely enthusiastic motivator Nancy, I tentatively reached out to her for some online personal training as my first step into getting into a bit of shape and, most importantly for me, losing weight. Nancy was a little angel on my right shoulder at times when I had a little devil on my left and knowing she was checking in on me regularly and expecting my weight and measurements sent through every week gave me the incentive needed to start kicking off a few kilos. Yes she is fun and never takes herself too seriously but she’s also very knowledgeable about nutrition and is very clear about how to lose weight, what is nonsense and what is a waste of money.

Aside from the PT, she is so inspiring– there are real life angels in this world and Nancy is one of them.

‘Nancy was a little angel on my right shoulder‘

I was one of the lucky ones who never had to worry about their weight, with my small frame and size 8-10 clothes why on earth would I have a need to see a personal trainer?

As the years went by and 2 children later, I still managed to get back in shape and be able to wear the same clothes. However, what I would call a ‘spare tyre’ appeared around my waist and toning up in the gym didn’t seem to be working as well. I’ve always generally been an healthy eater but I do love chocolate and sugary treats not forgetting few glasses of wine! Little did I know that when I started to add up the calories through My Fitness Pal I was massively over what I should be eating each day. I also thought by exercising 3-4 times a week was an excuse to eat what I liked. But in Nancy’s words – you can’t out exercise what you eat!

I would meet Nancy every 2 weeks or so for a period of 3 months, that together with logging my calories and daily advice from Nancy if I struggled to work out calories.

I didn’t actually believe my body was shrinking as my weight stayed relatively the same but this is also why Nancy says weight is not a great way to measure progress. Instead we measured my arms, neck, waist, stomach, bottom and thighs every couple of weeks and as if by magic the cms seemed to drop off.

It took a few weeks to get used to logging calories but became the norm before long. I liked that I could eat foods with more calories but it just meant I couldn’t eat much else that day! So before long I choose foods lower in calories throughout the day knowing I could have a glass of wine or 2 in the evening (on occasion) as I’d saved my calories.

Nancy is an absolute star and kept me going through stressful times at work, juggling 2 boys and their social/sports engagements and a busy home. I never realised how important diet is as I always focused on exercise! Thank you Nancy, what a super-intelligent lady, I love all your research facts about nutrition, you are an inspiration!

“I’ve not got that much to lose really; I’ll never get rid of this tummy because I’ve had two children; I eat healthily so it can’t be my diet; I spin 4-5 times a week and burn so many calories, it’s weird how I’m not losing weight.”

A year ahead of turning 40, I had the idea that when that milestone birthday arrived, I wanted to feel as good as I could. Just 4 months ahead of the big birthday I started working with Nancy in face to face personal training sessions and I still strongly held onto all of the ideas and beliefs above.

From that very first session and beyond, Nancy educated me about diet and exercise and that has been the single most important factor that has enabled me to completely change the way I look and feel. As well as the face to face sessions, her constant support in between kept me on track.

When the big birthday milestone arrived, I honestly felt the best I have in my entire adult life – slim, fit and very importantly, strong. I had lost a significant amount of body fat and my body shape had changed beyond belief. When I reflect on the 4 month journey, it really wasn’t that difficult – I still had fun, socialised, went out for dinner, drank alcohol, went on weekends away and to parties – and therefore the changes that I have made feel totally sustainable

I really thought I knew what to do and that the reason I wasn’t losing weight or changing shape were related to factors beyond my control. How wrong I was!
